Monterey, California
Traveling down the Pacific Coast Highway is joy enough, but you will definitely want to stop and check out Monterey, California. This destination is home to Monterey Bay Aquarium, as well as plenty of other sites that you won’t want to miss!
Glacier National Park, Montana
This is a 50-mile road in northwest Montana, which also happens to be a National Historic Landmark that cuts Glacier National Park in half. Throughout your journey, you will be taken through a variety of landscapes, such as forests, lakes and glacial-covered mountain peaks. Along the way, you’ll even be able to spot wildlife. This makes ir fun to travel by car.
Blue Ridge Parkway
The Blue Ridge Parkway should be driven during the fall. The colors of leaves begin changing in September, but become most vibrant during October. If you’re planning on driving to or through Virginia and/or North Carolina, then this is a route you should pursue.
Olympic Peninsula
Starting off on Highway 101 in Seattle, this 330-mile loop will show you the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. During this drive, you’ll be able to spot beautiful shorelines, waterfalls, snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains, rainforests, and so much more.
Brandywine Valley
This 12-mile stretch is located between southern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware. You will drive through the pristine countryside of the Brandywine Valley, the 1,077 acre-Longwood Gardens, and outdoor topiary and spring-fed lakes.
